Korn Track Used In Puma Commercials
KornKorn may have embraced the old childhood adage of "All Day I Dream About Sex" ("A.D.I.D.A.S.") on 1996's Life Is Peachy, but it's athletic shoe and clothing manufacturer Puma that is set to reap the benefits of the neo-metal act's soaring popularity.
Korn's current single, "Freak on a Leash," will be featured in the company's first-ever branding campaign (meaning the advertisements highlight Puma as a company rather than a specific product), according to Amber Fredman, Puma's entertainment marketing director.
"We think Korn is a perfect fit between our campaign and the hardcore consumer market," says Fredman. The first three spots featuring Korn will debut during the Super Bowl XXXIII pre-game show on Fox on Sunday (Jan. 31).
The endorsement should come as no surprise to Korn fans, considering the band has been seen outfitted in Puma athletic wear nearly everywhere they go since the release of their most recent album, Follow the Leader, including onstage and in their publicity shots.
